“Morgan Sorne is the consummate artist. What he delivers vocally and vocationally goes beyond the point of exceptional through the realization of his visual sonographies as pure testaments of spirit. As a visual artist the compliment is paid forward by the fact that his painting, illustrations, and line work, in the eyes of the viewer, sing.”
“In the 45 years I have lived in LA, it’s the best thing I have ever seen.”
“Very few performing artists have sparked my imagination as quickly as Morgan Sorne. His undulating, hypnotic chants transport me to vast vistas of the ancient world. His deeply distorted growling bass lines evoke menacing monsters, while his ethereal melodic lines fill me with heartbreak and yearning. ”
“It was the most gripping performance I’ve seen in years. And I’m rather picky after all those years. :D”
“Nonconformist in nature, brilliant in execution. This is absolutely phenomenal in every sense of the word. Music cannot get more unique and authentic as this.”
Morgan Sorne is an award-winning multi-disciplinary artist, composer, and musician with a 5-octave voice as his primary instrument. Beyond his stunning vocal range, Sorne is known for his hypnotic creations, deeply textured vocal collages punctuated with primitive urgency, and an emotional wisdom that seems otherworldly. "Sorne sounds of the future gawking at you with a gaping mouth, fearlessly, and enveloped in mysticism." (Red River Noise)
Hailed by Rolling Stone and NPR as one to watch, Sorne has performed his original work at some of the most prestigious venues and galleries in North America and Europe, including Art Basel, Miami The Walker Center for Performing Arts, the Sundance Film Festival, Irving Plaza in New York, and the legendary Fillmore Theatre in San Francisco.
Fellow artists from across the creative spectrum have also recognized Sorne’s unique talents and collaborated with him including TV on the Radio, CocoRosie, Saul Williams, Robin Finck of Nine Inch Nails, The String Theory, Beats Antique, and composers such as Bear McCreary, Magnus Fiennes and Jason Hill. His original music can be heard in film, TV, games and trailers including Foundation, The Witcher: Blood Origin, American Horror Story (FX), Life After Gravity (3DR), Infinitely Yours (Miwa Matreyek), and more.
Sorne has recently finished illustrating a 340-page graphic novel with musician, poet, and actor, Saul Williams (Slam, Holler if Ya Hear Me) entitled "Martyr Loser King" to be released internationally through First:Second Books (Macmillan).
